On Sunday, Brandon and I were guests on Burnout Radio for their weekly Podcast. We joined Charlie and Nick to discuss the Fiesta and Racetech Performance. It was nice to talk about the Fiesta with some true car guys, who know their stuff! The four of us came to the same conclusion concerning the manual transmission in the Fiesta. The car needs a shorter throw shifter! We also all agreed to how well the Fiesta handles, and how precise the steering is. For car guys, handling and shifting are two major ingredients to what makes a car fun. Gobs of horsepower helps too, but the Fiesta seems to do just fine with its 1.6L DOHC 120hp engine. The four of us will talk again after the Fiesta is put thru its paces at GingerMan raceway and autocrossed. Thanks again to Charlie and Nick for having us on their show!

Great podcast guys, look forward to your next one.
Nick doesn’t seem sold on the Fiesta, and would like hear more discussion from him.
I know he mention his dislike for the rear paxs seats, but it would be interesting to hear more of his feedback.
I nice hearing mostly positive stuff but I think it is equally important to get good critical feedback as well, which I think Nick is a good candidate.
I agree, good feedback should be critical and unbiased. It is easy to seem bias with how good I find the Fiesta to be, but there are a few small things worth being critical on. Glad you enjoyed the podcast, and I am looking forward to being back on the air with Charlie and Nick. They are great guys and great car enthusiasts!
it was good having you guys on the show. can’t wait until we can get together to do it again.
@carl yeah it is easy to seem a a bit biased towards the Fiesta. overall it’s a damn good car but it does have it’s deficiencies. you really have to nit pick to find them. first being the gear box, while it is passable, it’s not up to par with the rest of the car. vauge down shifts, and a truck sized shifter throw are the biggest issues there, and the seats aren’t quite big enough for us fat americans. the gas pedal is way to close to the transmission tunnel so my leg cramps on long drive because of the lack of cruise control. however the good far out weight the bad. but i won’t bother to list those here since bryan and brandon have some really good articles that cover those. even with it’s bad aspects taken in to account it’s still the best in it’s class.
